"Black
Grass" is Little Wings' most recent studio album, released
early 2011 on LP & CD, and now for the first time on cassette
tape (+Mp3). It is the first Little Wings record in a few years
and it swells and sweeps with high tides and instantly imortal
jams.
Recorded/produced
with Tim Bluhm (Mother Hips) the tunes on "Black Grass"
are widely varried in style and sound, but the thread of a particularly
rare light and beauty is here throughout. Fresh arrangements and
some tight playing and production make a handsome a table for
Kyle Field's (A.K.A. Little Wings) feast of lyrics... maybe his
best ever. Truly a delight to listen to, and our to honor present
this fine album on an antiquated format.
This
volume of Echomancy is a water drop, which is the logo
of RAD, Kyle's label that released "Black Grass" on
LP & CD. In Kyle's words: "it's like the minor sponsor
of the tape, like a surfer's leash sponsor."
