"STONE SINGING" & "I YUDEN" by STORSKOG (Gnome Live Free Mp3 Download)

These recordings represent two days of improvisation on a tiny Swedish island in the Baltic Sea called Norröra, and in an apartment kitchen in San Francisco Kalifornien.

"Stone Singing" was recorded in a one-room cabin on Norröra in Summer 2008. The sounds of static are a combination of hiss from the small cheap microphone, the crackle of a fire, and the pattering of rain. Songs were improvised with Mania and Fletcher singing and playing (usually more than one instrument at a time). Minimal over-dubs were done in Malmö Sweden, in a similarly spontaneous way, no premeditation.

"I Yuden" is two songs recorded in San Francisco in Autumn 2008. Once again songs were spontaneously formed, the sound of water and creaking wood comes from an ambient record playing in the adjacent room.
